Reliable Reasonable Car Service by Sharon F. at InsiderPages
We've been using Quality Car Service for the past 7 years now. First became of aware of them through their jingles & boasts on the radio.
They have a large fleet of licensed taxis (all manner of cars, vans & even limos) and can be counted on to arrive when the dispatch tells you. Once you call, the dispatch makes you wait as she calls out to the rest of the fleet and sees who is nearest to your address. Within minutes (maximum wait is 5 min) there is a cab on the way.
Average price of the fare varies depending on destination (usually $6-$10), but you'll never pay exorbitant rates except maybe to the airport (everyone charges high prices for the airport that's a given) and even then it's about $25-$45 to get to JFK or the lengthy trip to Newark Airport which is located in New Jersey.
PERKS: If you often use their service you sometimes get free rides & discounts.
PROS: Professional, Punctual, Great Drivers, Reasonable Rates

The dispatcher was polite, the car arrived on time, but the car was cramped and horrible (barely enough leg room for me, and I'm 5' 2), and the driver was completely out of it. Everything he said was mumbled and barely intelligible. It seemed like he couldn't hear anything we said. He took the most ridiculous route, squeezing the car into spaces he could not easily get out of. Finally, about 30 minutes into the trip, when we were no where near our destination (the trip itself should have taken about 40 mins), we asked him to pull over and got out.
Never again!
