Maltese by jim g. at InsiderPages
Bought yet another Maltese from Puppy City as an early Valentine's day gift for my wife 3 weeks ago. What a disposition on this little guy. Had my other one from them for 17 years. Nice people, very knowledgeable. Kenny who sold it to us is great; he too has a Maltese who is adorable. Although I see some negative feedback on here, I can only say that my experiences with them have been great.

They sold me an ill kitten
I got a cat here a few months old. A black and white one named furry when I was a kid. A few weeks later she doesn't eat. We bring her to the vet to see whats wrong. She has severe diabetes and had to be put to sleep.

Dead dog in 3 weeks
Sometimes I tend not to follow most reviews on puppy stores, due to the controversy about buying from puppy stores, but now I have to believe what is being said because I've recently went through the same situation w/ puppy city. I wished I would of did my research about this store before buying. I decided to go to this store after hearing a advertisement on WBLS radio station. I bought a Pomeranian from this store about 3 weeks ago. At first he didn't have much of a personality, but I expected this since it was the first day of him being in a new environment. After a few days, the same thing. He wasnt active, didnt play with my other poms, he was just there. Last week, he became very weak , I called the vet at Puppy city and she told me to give him this product call Cal trite, after giving it to him he started to respond more, so i let him rest. I had this dog about 3 weeks, within the 3 weeks, I have yet to hear him even bark. The most he did was follow me when I left him. Other than that he didn't bark, he didn't play, nothing. Friday I came home from work, to find my dog laying in his doggie bed DEAD!!, As if he died in his sleep. The vet kept telling me that small dogs need to eat every hour and he probably missed a meal. He was not my first dog, I have 2 other pomeranians and I've owned other dogs in my life and I've never had a dog die on me 3-4 weeks after purchasing them. I was so appalled when she told me to put him in a plastic bag and bring him back to the store, like he was just this disposable object. My dog is currently getting an autopsy done, by puppy city and they told me I can get a discount on another dog but no refund. I have no interest in getting another dog from them. My sister works for one of the local news stations and if this isnt handle in a PROFESSIONAL manner, this will be made a PUBLIC matter. I've learned my lesson on this one, its just sad those innocent animals have to suffer in the process. Regardless of where they came from, they still need to be loved and to be cared for. After reading some of the other reviews especially the one when the reviewer said that PC claimed the dog was poisoned. I'm not even going to argue with them about a refund, if it isnt refunded back to me, their business will get the publicity that it needs. I'm so angry right now

I love this store. by Volha P. at InsiderPages
On june 2007 I purchased my first puppy, a little teacup long haired chihuahua. That was the first dog I ever had in my life! Stuff was very nice, friendly and helpfull. I love my little girl so much! In a year I got back to the store and got another teacup chihuahua for my boyfriend and I'm really happy with our dogs. I don't agree with most of the comments I've read here. i think people just don't know how to take care of the little puppies and take them outside before they had their shots! Ot those like MISS HR who got a teacup puppy for a 4 years old baby! I think parents with a kids that young should not get any puppies, especially a teacup.

NEVER GO TO PUPPY CITY!!!! by Erika T. at InsiderPages
At the end of June 2008, we purchased one male and one female shihtzu at 8 weeks of age. We were told that they were brother and sister, and that they would weigh no more than 8 pounds. We were told that they were more money because they were to remain small. We brought them back to the store when they were 6 months old. At this time, they already weighed 11 pounds. We spoke to the supposed female manager, who was extremely loud, rude, and obnoxious, and lied to us about the size or weight of the puppies. They are now 8 months old; the male weighs 15 pounds and the female weighs 14. Our vet actually thinks the male is NOT a shihtzu, but a lhasa apso. Although we have grown to love our pets, it is really disconserting to get no satisfaction from Puppy City when we first inquired about puppies our one stipulation was that we were interested in dogs who would only weigh about 8 or 9 pounds. The reason for this was that this size would accomodate our lifestyle. When one purchases a puppy, much consideration than thought goes into the event. we were assured multiple times by the sales person that these dogs would be very small and no more than 8 pounds. We may have not been so vulnerable had we not lost our bichon a few months prior to this. They were well aware of our vulnerability and we believe used this in their favor. DO NOT PATRONIZE PUPPY CITY - THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. Puppy City should be investigated and closed down.
