The Best Animal Hospital In Brooklyn by David N. at InsiderPages
I Recently had the pleasure of having both of my dogs treated at pet haven animal hospital. One of my dogs needed surgery. I could not be happier with the result. The staff and doctors treated me with courtesy and respect. The surgery was perfect and my dog is like a brand new lively happy puppy. The surgery changed my dogs life and my kids couldn't be happier. This hospital is clean , sterile, and probably the best facility I have ever been to. Pet Haven animal hospital doctors and staff are the best. Do not waste time anywhere else , if you want the best care for your pets call them. As an added benefit, the prices were fifty percent lower than what the N.Y.C. hospitals wanted to charge me.

a very bad experience! by amanda f. at InsiderPages
i took my dachshund here today after getting really excited about the great reviews and close location only to be sorely disappointed. maybe i caught them on a bad day, but it was bad enough for me to not want to return, even though i need to for a check up on the current diagnosis. almost immediately when we were taken into the room the vet started with a you don't know s### attitude, which i really didn't appreciate ( i was plenty educated in the things he was spouting off about) but tried to look past. the entire appointment was VERY rushed, and though i understand needing to keep on schedule, trying to jam two different needles into my dog (in the same spot, nonetheless) while shoving a pill down her throat doesn't seem necessary. her normally calm vet demeaner disappeared because of this which elicited a, well i thought she was good tempered, guess not! sort of comment from the vet. yeah, well i would be grumpy too. and i really am. $200 for twenty minutes of that? i think i will look elsewhere for the next visit.

very unsafe
If I had read these reviews I would not have gone to Pet Haven. I took my dog there for shots and regular checkup, he got a viral infection and nearly died before I took him to another vets.

AVOID THIS PLACE
Today, I took a very sick cat from an old neighbor that is no longer able to take care. In order to protect his identity, I told the staff that I found this cat in my backyard. This cat was examined erroneously. I was told that the age was around 7 and that it was not spayed. The truth is that the age was closer to 20 and that it has been spayed. The cat was under-nourished, dehydrated and with an eye that had to be remove. This people were willing to torture this poor soul with all kind of surgery in order to charge me close to $2000, while the best thing was to put it to sleep. Again, they do not have the best interest of the animal.

Bad Medicine by Ana P. at InsiderPages
Dr. Keschner needs to throw in the towel. My kitten had to get some blood drawn for a FIV test and they told me to leave the room. My kitten was returned with hematomas in his neck and legs. Why is he so rough? Even to check them he has this I'm tired of this attitude.

Very bad place
I took my parrot to Dr. Keschner for a regular checkup and everything seemed excellent . He appeared sick so I asked another vet who said to bring him in, this time he has pneumonia and the doctor ran some tests that shows it is pzittacosis and he also has E-coli. They said he probably got it from other sick birds and infected dropplngs probably from unclean cages at the Dr. Keschners. I won't be taking my parrot to Dr. Keschner again.
