Very challenging but worth it
I took my first Bikram class last week and it was so hard to stay in that blazing hot room for 90 minutes, but the teacher was very patient, opened the door a few times, and encouraged me just to stay in the room for my first try. I felt really good and a little lightheaded after the class, but it was a seriously great workout!

Athlete?s Foot!
Let me start by saying I have never practiced Bikram yoga before. I took 3 classes here, they kicked my butt, left me looking lean and toned and gave me a great workout and relaxed me at the same time. I would have absolutely LOVED to continue my practice with this studio. HOWEVER, beware of the raging foot fungus problem here! I brought my own mat, towel, and wore flip flops right up until I entered the studio and still contacted the nastiness! And apparently it is pretty intense because i have been trying to get rid of it for weeks and simply can't! I have since spoke with other patrons of this establishment who have complained of a similar situation. I have practice yoga consistently for 5 years now at many studios throughout the city, I have never had this problem before! I don?t know if all bikram studios are carpeted, but this just seemed like a Petri dish full of disaster! Maybe next time I will sheath myself with a coating of latex?.

good instructors
You get a good mix of instructors styles but its kinda a difficult space for bikram, the heaters are on one side so everyone on that side gets blasted so opening the door becomes essential if the room is packed full of beginners, for those of us that have gone for awhile and can take the heat the constant blast is almost too much but its better then the cold then hot then cold..., but for those lucky few that got the space in the farside(some of which tend to be greedy and take up way too much space with their mats) it does not make a difference temp wise because it takes awhile for it to be notice able. but seriously it smells... so for those with sensitive noses stick to the LES but i dont mind to much kinda like taking a big wiff of running shoes

yoga paradise by KELLY M. at InsiderPages
Bikram Williamsburg is fairly new, however, has the same feel as ever other Bikram yoga studio. The classes are 90 minutes, and worth every penny. They offer a variety of class times to fit your schedule.
